Snooze and Lose does not sell anything up front. You save a payment card once through Paddle, our merchant of record, and that card is charged only when you miss a staked alarm. There is no monthly plan, no fee for setting alarms, and nothing to top up.

How payment works

What happens to a lost stake

• If you dismiss an alarm on time, nothing is charged.
• If you miss the dismissal window, the stake you chose for that alarm is charged to your saved card.
• Every staked alarm is tied to an approved charity: pick one or keep the default. If you miss the dismissal window, the 20% platform share is rounded down to the nearest cent and the remainder, at least 80%, is queued for payout to that charity.
• You may commit the full stake: 100% is queued for charity payout and 0% is retained.

If a charge fails

If your card declines a lost-stake charge, the charge is retried and the app pauses new stakes until you update your card. Alarms without a stake keep working as normal.

Refunds

A lost-stake charge that was made by mistake, or that you dispute, is reviewed and, where appropriate, refunded through Paddle to the same card. See the Refund Policy for the rules, including the point at which a charity portion can no longer be reversed.

Additional notes

• There is no subscription fee. Saving a card creates a $0 Paddle plan that never bills on its own; it only lets a lost stake be charged.
• Nothing is paid up front. A charge happens only when you miss a staked alarm, for exactly that stake.
• Dismissing a staked alarm on time means no charge at all.
• Payment processing is handled by Paddle as merchant of record. Any taxes that apply in your region are included in the stake amount, so your card is charged exactly the stake.
